The basics of Video Poker are much the same as traditional Poker. It's simple to play.

Average Payback The average win on a hand if you play that same hand hundreds of times. For example if a Royal Flush wins you $4,000 and 1 card is drawn to a 4 Card Royal Flush, your average payback is around $100. Average Payback is key for any hand that can be played in different ways. Always play with the highest Average Payback.

Credits The Video Poker Machine keeps track of the mioney deposited and accumulated as winnings. These are shown on the credit score. For example, if you deposit $5 in a 25-cent machine, you will receive 20 credits.

Denomination The denomination of each card is its number from 2 (Deuces) to 10, or J, Q, K or A.

Deuces Deuces are the cards with a face value of 2.

Discard Buttons Under Video Poker machine display are 5 buttons, 1 for each card. You click on these to show which cards you want to hold and which ones you want to discard.

Draw In Video Poker the draw is the new set of cards for those not held from the initial deal hand.

Winning Hand A winning hand is one that you get paid for. In most Video Poker games the lowest winning hand is a pair of Jacks.
